An industry-recognized expert on estate, business, and insurance planning strategies for the affluent market, Larry leverages over 30 years of professional experience, including as a tax attorney with one of the largest law firms in the world. A highly sought-after thought leader, Larry lectures on the national stage and consults the industry’s top advisors. He collaborates with many of the country’s premier financial institutions and estate and business attorneys. A graduate of Northwestern University School of Law, Larry earned his B.S. in Accountancy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Doug Slinkman began his career in the insurance industry in 2001 as an in-house licensed producer at the Herman Agency. Mentored over the years by founder Burt Herman and long time Vice President Jim Veenstra, Doug was trained to provide the thoughtful analysis and in-depth detail which the Herman Agency is renowned for. As his career progressed Doug obtained the Series 7 and 63 licenses as well as the Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant designations from The American College. Doug collaborates with advisors to implement solutions to clients’ life, annuity, long term care, and disability insurance needs. He and his wife Ashley are raising their three children in the Western suburbs of Chicago.
